The Fordypningsromment hotel is the ideal destination for those who don't like confusion and people. It is on a lost island in the Mae of Norway, beyond the Arctic Circle.
Getting there is not easy, but it is not impossible. You will need to take a plane to Oslo, then another domestic flight to Bodø, a city on the coast of the country, before getting on the ferry which will take about 1 hour to the Fleinvær archipelogue.
This can be one of the challenges of your life. When visiting this hotel you are really putting yourself to the test. Because the hard part is not just getting there. That was perhaps the minor problem, the point is that the Fordypningsrommet is on an island with no shops, no houses, no cars, no streets or any trace of human life.
Needless to say, don't you dare go to the hotel without food, because there is no room service there.
The best option is to bring vodka and warm clothes so that the temperature does not exceed zero degrees.
The hotel is divided into four cabins with twin beds and five more with support spaces: kitchen, bathroom and sauna. If you need an emergency, there is an employee at the hotel who promises to remain in the shade, but who is there to help.
The hotel was built by musician and composer Håvard Lund as a retreat for artists to create in peace and quiet. The huts are equipped with sound equipment and a piano, but the most important is the huge window, overlooking the sea and the northern lights, in front of which you can sit reading, creating or simply doing nothing.
And did you have the courage to venture on this trip to this island?
