The new year has arrived and new trends in decoration have arrived. From colors to plants, through sustainability and the hint of the less, it is more than ever out of fashion: we leave you with some ideas of what will be most used in this new year, so that you get inspired and start planning the next renovation of the house already today.

The colors for 2021

This year will be rich in softer and more cheerful colors, such as pastel tones and warmer colors, such as yellow and orange. The tones used are intended to be soft, to convey lightness to the environment and make it more welcoming. Green and blue are also on the rise, as they help to convey calm and serenity to any space, especially if used in bedrooms. All of these colors are versatile and can be easily combined with a neutral base, in white or even gray.

Bet on sustainability

The new decoration trends bet heavily on the use of timeless materials and from sustainable sources, or give a second life to second-hand furniture and decorative pieces through the magic of DIY.

Less is more

Minimalism will still remain in fashion, coupled with the sustainability trend. Clean environments without restricted circulation will always look good in any home. Break the monotony a little with one or another more personalized piece (like second-hand furniture or a souvenir from a trip you took). Thus, you will still have a minimalist space, but it demonstrates its personality and memories.

Plants and more plants

Plants have always been the darlings of decoration, but the tendency is for them to be used more and more in the composition of spaces and to be an integral part of the decoration of a house. Any type of plant can be used to make a place more welcoming!

Caring for the garden

In line with the previous trend, garden care is also back in trend in 2021. Think about the space you have and plan different places for relaxation, using things like a rocking chair. It limits the space for beds and trees, thinks about the best species for the place, and thus creates a more secluded climate and where you can be enjoying the outdoors quietly and without interruptions.

Let in natural light

Natural light has always been an important point in interior decoration, but with the confinement period, the need to let sunlight into our homes has become an even greater focus. The curtains must be made of light fabrics or, for those who like Nordic style, why not dispense with the presence of curtains? In the attic, the installation of skylights is a must, to enhance this space and bring it more life. By betting on natural lighting, you are also being sustainable, as this will allow you to save on the electricity bill. A universe of advantages just by letting the light in.

The minimalist, sustainable decor with neutral colors will be the culmination of this year. Take a chance and change this year!
