The first data to be communicated to Finance to make the 2022 IRS concern the composition of the household until December 31, 2021. That is, if there was a divorce in the family, the birth of a child during the last year or changes to alternate residence of children in joint custody.
If nothing is reported, the Tax and Customs Authority (AT) automatically assumes the data for the previous year (2020).
It will be on March 15, that the Tax Authorities will make available the amounts of deductions to the collection provided by the expenses proven by invoice and other documents. Each taxpayer will be able to consult and verify the calculated amount on their personal Finance page, as the amounts will appear pre-filled in the IRS returns.
It will also be at this time that the amounts related to other deductions such as health insurance, mortgage interest, house rents, user fees, university fees, etc. will be identified.
If you find any incorrect information at this stage of calculating your IRS 2022, you can file a claim with the AT between March 15 and 31, 2022. But note that you can only claim deductions from collection related to family overheads and benefit for the invoice requirement determined by the AT. Invoices related to health, education, housing and homes can be manually changed by the taxpayer as long as there are invoices that prove the changes.
It is also during this period that taxpayers can choose who they want to consign the IRS or VAT to and, for this purpose, the Finance Portal will provide a list of entities.
Having gathered all the data and documents, it is time to deliver the annual income statement to the Finance Department. And you can do it between April 1 and June 30, 2022. Now, it is necessary to submit the IRS 2022 online, on the Finance Portal page. And for those who have difficulties in doing so, AT provides a set of digital service locations assisted in parish councils and even Finance services.
Until July 31, AT will send the IRS 2022 settlement note. And this is the deadline for receiving the refund, provided that the statement has been delivered within the prescribed period.
Anyone who has to pay IRS must do so by August 31st. And if there are difficulties in doing so, it is possible to request payment of the debt in installments from the Finance Department.
