There are situations where after turning on several household appliances or equipment at home at the same time, the electrical current is interrupted. In other words, the frame “fires” leaving the place without light. It is at this moment that we realize that it is probably necessary to change the contracted power.

How to change the contracted power?

The trading company with whom you have the electricity contract should be contacted and request to change the contracted power. This requires:

• Contract holder data
• The power to hire

What contracted power should I have?

The contracted power depends on a few factors. However, you should always consult your electric company or, if you have the opportunity, contact an accredited electrician who will have the necessary knowledge to help you with this decision.

The contracted power is paid monthly on the electricity bill, and is presented as a flat rate. As usual, the higher the power, the more you will pay for it monthly.

In some cases the value of kwh (consumption) may be changed based on the contracted power level. Therefore, it is always advisable to make a comparison of light rates.
