Braga, city of the Archbishops, serves classic cafes with secrets and stories. Modern, attentive to trends and with quality coffee; to talk, work or simply to enjoy.

We chose the seven wonders of coffee in Braga!

Caffe Vianna

With about 150 years of history, Café Vianna is an emblematic place of Braga. Inserted in the Praça da República Arcade, this café is much more than just a cafe, it is part of the city's collective history.

Ferreira Capa

Ferreira Capa is a space that is part of the imagination of Braga, being one of the first places that comes to mind when we think of going to have a sweetie or have tea in the middle of the afternoon. Existing as a reference of the traditional confectionery of our city, it has continued to modernize and meet the tastes that have evolved over time.

Enjoy a centuries-old tea room with sumptuous décor, which makes Ferreira Capa one of Braga's most appreciated houses.

Recently, Central Cheese Shop has gained new prominence by introducing new ideas and products to its already extensive inventory.

A Brasileira

What to say about one of Braga's most iconic locations?

It is said to have been a franchising business of the past, created in March 1907 and initially run for 30 years by Adolpho de Azevedo, a Porto trader and vice consul of Brazil in the city of Braga, who offered a coffee to customers who bought a kilo of this.

This story, not everyone knows it, but everyone knows the iconic cafe that is located on the corner of St. Mark's Street, and that delights the lovers not only of its sack coffee, but of all the atmosphere that this place conveys. New, and less new, all religiously visit this space of the city, which some reminisces of past moments and longtime friends, and others, creates new memories; and even visitors who make the city of Braga their travel destination pass by.

Everyone here stops, lives and lives!

Astória

Situated in Praça da República - which any Braga will refer to as the Arcade - Astória is one of the most emblematic and oldest cafes in the city.

In this space you can see a mix of this past, evident in the richly decorated ceilings, with a great touch of modernity, present in the decoration and contemporaneity of its pleasant terrace.

Popular with tourists, this café invites us to experience the traditional cuisine of the region combined with a more contemporary cuisine.

In the heart of the historic center of the city and in one of the most prominent buildings in Braga's tourist postcards, you can find a friendly space to taste the tradition and socialize, either on the fresh terrace next to the fountain or inside the historic hall.

São Vicente Sweets

Open since 1829, the Doçaria de São Vicente is a traditional confectionery of sweets from Braga. Here you will find several examples of conventual sweets, especially those that are typical of Braga. The quality is evident, not forgetting the special creams and fillings: a store of divine desserts.

Once you enter, you will find that choosing just one will be extremely difficult. But there are some sweets that you can't miss.

A centenary confectionery that we hope to live more than a hundred years, to continue to sweeten Braga and all its visitors.
