City of enormous beauty and rich heritage, which combines tradition with innovation, memory with youth, creativity with conservatism ...
To let you know a little more about Braga, let's talk about the most important concert halls.
Are you ready? Let's do it...
Theatro Circo already has over 100 years of history!
It was first conceived in 1906 by a group of Braga. In 1911, the project began to take shape by architect João de Moura Coutinho and, on April 21, 1915, the Theatro Circo was inaugurated, coinciding with a period of great economic and social development in Braga.
In the late 1980s and throughout most of the 1990s, Theatro Circo continued to provide a diverse program of theater, film, opera, ballet, music, exhibitions and training.
Subsequently, a remodeling process began in 1999, with the Theatro Circo undergoing extensive restoration and requalification.
The whole process culminated on October 27, 2006 with the reopening of the Circus Theater, in a moment of celebration that returned to the city a room of unusual stature and architectural beauty difficult to surpass by any other room, Portuguese or European.
