Braga real estate agent among the most established in the country and Europe

" Carlo Monteiro started his activity in 2009 and despite having always worked in the commercial area, the truth is that he never had a job in the real estate business. However, from the moment he embraced the real estate area with Grupo Remax, “I knew it would be his life's career”, writes the same in his biography on an official website.

 

Since then, prizes have been added in recognition of his work. Therefore, in 2010 and 2011 he was considered the No. 1 salesman in Braga, and in 2012 and 2013 he raised the bar to become the No. 1 salesman in Portugal, already with 4 members in his Team. In 2015 two more assistants come to work with Carlo and this is where a big change takes place, the entry to KW GRUPO BUSINESS. It was at this moment that the Carlo Monteiro Team won for the 7th consecutive time the highest prize at national level within the agency, also becoming the No. 1 real estate consultant in Europe. More recently, due to the need for growth and technological advancement, the Business Group leaves KW and moves forward with a new 100% national project, ZOME REAL ESTATE!

 

Year of pandemic (2020) was record year for Carlo Monteiro

 

The real estate agent Carlo Monteiro continues to sell houses at a great pace in the current confinement, even to foreigners, advances the Express.
In the year when the economy was devastated by the new coronavirus, this real estate agent who saw his life take a leap and achieved the greatest feat of his career: selling houses in Braga for a total value of over 39 million euros in 2020, thus collecting commissions of more than one million euros according to the same source.

 

Semanário V contacted Carlo Monteiro (CM) to understand his path in the real estate area, mainly during a pandemic year.

In times of pandemic did you feel that the real estate business has grown?

CM – O ano de 2020 foi efetivamente um ano de muitas mudanças e adaptações.
Vamos fazer a análise do mesmo chamando-lhe o “pré-covid” e o “período covid“ no mercado imobiliário. O mercado imobiliário é inconstante, uma linha variável definida por inúmeros fatores, sendo um dos mais importantes a lei da oferta e da procura. Comecemos pelo “pré-covid” (o 1º trimestre do ano), fruto da constante procura em 2019, estes meses não foram uma exceção. Sucede-se o 19 de Março, início do confinamento instituído em Portugal e a emersão do medo nos portugueses. Começamos então o “período covid”. Consequentemente em todos os mercados houve um grande abrandamento e no imobiliário não houve exceção, gerando uma estagnação neste sector, assim descrevemos o segundo trimestre.
Como diz a tradição, somos um povo destemido e rapidamente superamos o sucedido, estivemos perante uma enorme recuperação do imobiliário face aos últimos trimestres.

How many members do you have on your team?

CM - I started my work in the real estate business in 2009. After some time managing all the work myself as a consultant, I quickly realized that the best for my clients would be to reinvent the way I worked. As a result of this thought, I fragmented the whole of a commercial by several departments, which made each one the best in its specificity. Currently, I count on a team of 21 elements distributed by departments such as: Marketing, Telemarketing, Administrative, Specialists in Buyer Customers and Specialists in Selling Customers.

What is your area of influence?

CM - My focus is on the district of Braga, where I currently have more than 2,394 sales transactions in this region alone.
However, nothing makes it impossible to help our customers in different areas. This is the added value of working “in a network”, where I can refer a client to a trusted ZOME consultant in any district in the country

Are the buyers mostly Portuguese or foreigners?

CM - Our buyers are mostly Portuguese, however in recent times the demand from foreign customers has intensified. We especially felt this increase after two major factors, the first due to the positive connotation of Portugal in the mouths of the world as one of the best countries to live in, the second after a huge bet on our part in international advertising portals. These customers have a similar demand profile, essentially showing interest in houses or farms with large areas located in rural areas.
