The first "library tree" is born in Braga

A solidary support [Bairro Feliz], promoted by the Pingo Doce hypermarket chain, is serving to build the country's first library tree in the garden of Guadalupe, Braga.
The library is not yet completed but work on installing a glass structure on a century-old linden tree is already underway and is due to be completed by September.

Ricardo Silva, president of São Víctor, the driver of the idea, told O MINHO that the park of Guadalupe now has a “garden library”, taking advantage of a tree that “is hollow inside, but still lush. the raw material it generates ”, adds the mayor, indicating that in addition to the structure being fitted without nails or“ something that hurts the tree ”, two lateral“ appendages ”will be placed to create the garden library.

According to the mayor, Guadalupe Park, located a few meters from Avenida Central, is one of the main avenues of central Braga and one of the few green spaces in the city that can be classified as a “park”, as it has a relief tree area.
